As The Crow's Nest closed its doors on Saturday, Oct. 21 having been a staple on Route 17 in Hackensack for more than 30 years, the restaurant owners, the Hajiyerou family, announced on Facebook that two possessions were stolen.

The items were a green wooden Crow's Nest sign that was under the TV in the bar area and a vintage milk canister that was kept in a vestibule.

"These are family heirlooms that we would like to be returned to us," the restaurant said. "We are beginning to look at our cameras and we will go to the police if we have to. We will look the other way if these items are returned immediately."

The Crow's Nest was known for its live music and roast beef sandwich.
